Hospitality

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

(Acts 2:46-47)

Special Events

Throughout the year there are many events that create hospitality opportunities. Examples include concerts, pancake supper, Alpha, Sunday lunches, Lamb Supper, and funeral receptions.

Friends for Friends/Welcoming

This team of volunteers connect with parishioners who may not be able to attend church onsite, maybe be recovering from illness and/or suffering from a significant loss. They also facilitate the church’s general mission to welcome and embrace those who come through our doors.

Beyond Soup

This team periodically makes soups to freeze so that they can be given throughout the year to those in any kind of need. These soups are available to anyone in the parish to give to anyone they know to be in need (recipients don’t need to be connected to the church).

Coffee Hours

Every Sunday, following worship services, coffee hour is hosted in the gym or lounge by one or two volunteers.

Men's Breakfast

The men of St. Matthew’s gather once monthly for Saturday morning breakfast. Meeting dates are included in our monthly calendar.
