Sermons are how we engage the Word of God (The Bible) and help us understand the ancient Biblical text in new ways. We believe God’s Word continues to speak to us today through the power of the Holy Spirit, and speaks into our lives today.

At St. Matthew’s we often like to do a sermon series, to help us dig deeper into God’s Word.

Some other sermon series from the past are below (Note: each sermon begins around the 11-minute mark):

Words for the Holy Spirit

The Risen Christ

Returning to Christ

God’s Great Unity“.

The Christmas Family

The Imminent Kingdom

Meditations through Worship” (Weekday)

Work of the Holy Spirit

What is God’s Kingdom?

The Lord’s Prayer” with 12 prayer exercises

What is the Church,”

Scripture in Glass” (Weekday)

The Greatest Story.

Otherwise, like many other churches around the world, we use the Revised Common Lectionary to help us work through reading almost the entire Bible on a three-year cycle. Find out more about the lectionary here.
