Sermons
Sermons are how we engage the Word of God (The Bible) and help us understand the ancient Biblical text in new ways. We believe God’s Word continues to speak to us today through the power of the Holy Spirit, and speaks into our lives today.
At St. Matthew’s we often like to do a sermon series, to help us dig deeper into God’s Word. Our current series is called “God’s Great Unity“.
Some other sermon series from the past are below (Note: each sermon begins around the 11-minute mark):
“Meditations through Worship” (Weekday)
“The Lord’s Prayer” with 12 prayer exercises
“Scripture in Glass” (Weekday)
“Hope“
Our next sermon series is: Idols that Consume Us which will be accompanied by a Lenten Bible Study on Spiritual Practices
Otherwise, like many other churches around the world, we use the Revised Common Lectionary to help us work through reading almost the entire Bible on a three-year cycle. Find out more about the lectionary here.
To the right is a video player and a playlist of services. These can also be found on our YouTube Channel.
