Richard Farrar has been a member of St Matthew’s for 25 years. He was educated in England. In 1956, Richard was required to complete two years National Service in the British Army, during which time he was deployed in Korea and Gibraltar. Following military service, Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant, becoming and partner in an international firm of chartered accountants. Richard and his late beloved wife, Bridget, were married in London, England, in 1967. Bridget was president of the Chancel Guild for 14 years, until shortly before her death in 2020. Bridget and Richard have a son and daughter and two grandchildren.
